The sun was shining for the Predator ladies tonight and they went straight into the game on a positive high.  Even though the attack started well, there was a few passing errors which halted shooting opportunities for the shooters. But the ladies defended well, despite a strong shooting combination from First Sport.  Some brilliant movements from Donna in the circle and with shots flying in, it was just the confidence boast she needed after coming back from injury.  Mich and Becca where on form as always, turning over balls with some fabulous marking off the ball.

Q1 11-5 to Predators

 Quarter 2 team

 GK- Becca

GD- Mich

WD- Jenny Cook

C – Ash

WA- Vick

GA- Donna

GS- Stacey

Going into quarter 2 Natalie had made some changes to the 7 that where on court and those ladies adapted as they always do.  Mich was let lose out to GD and she made some fantastic interceptions, Becca stayed strong with her GS and came out with some brilliant turnovers. First Sport kept pressurising our defence with there shooters having some good timed movements.  Jenny at WD was driving that ball out of defence brining it down the court with confidence and ease.

A change with the attack and following on from quarter 1 a few passes where thrown away but some great attacking movement from them all and 100% stats from Donna and Stacey left the ladies feeling very confident finishing 2nd quarter leading 20-11.

Confidence was flowing with the Predator Ladies and seeing Stacey Thompson back on court was lovely, she has been a big miss over previous games due to work commitments.  With Stacey on the court and more changes made the ladies got on with playing netball and that is just what they did.  Ash was feeding the shooters brilliantly as always with pin point accuracy and they didn’t let her down slotting them home.  Jenny had gone into the defensive unit working with Mich and between them turned over 6 balls going into the circle.  Vickie was working well with Ash marking the C and WA both who where strong players for First Sport.  Stacey T was getting out quick for C passes and driving hard to the circle edge feeding some brilliant balls into the circle leading to another quarter of good shooting stats for Predator shooters.  Q3 ended 27-14

 Q4

WA- Vickie

GA- Ash

GS- Donna Farrer

This quarter was a mix up of positions for the Predator ladies Mich was out of defence playing C and she brought that defensive knowledge into the game making 2 tips.  The attacking unit started with some silly errors and missed shots but then both Ash and Donna got used to each other and both slotted home some lovely shots with some fantastic movement play alongside it.  Both Stacey’s had gone from attacking, to now defending with Becca in at GK and did a great job, with communication and working together they turned over and allowed only 1 goal to be scored from First Sport in that quarter well done defence.

Final score 33-15
